Poltor Cottage has far reaching rural and bay views and is set in a World Heritage Site overlooking the ruins of an original mining engine house. Close by are Fowey and the Eden Project. Lostwithiel has its antique shops, Bodmin a steam railway and prison museum, Excellent coastal paths for walks in the area, large selection of beaches and coves. There are places where cycles can be hired and ridden over old railyway tracks. National Trust properties to visit are not far away. There is a large undercover Cornish 'Market' open at weekends. Cornwall is spoilt for golf course for all levels of player. Foodies can select from a wealth of good restaurants (some of TV chefs), cafes and pubs. Loads of information leaflets in the cottage from which to choose an activity to suit everyone who doesn't just want to spend their holiday chilling out.
The recently built detached cottage has a garden/patio which is partially enclosed and sits within the main house plot. Dining area/ kitchen, sitting room and sun lounge are open plan with doors opening on to the patio area which has garden furniture.. There is also a utility room. Main ground floor bedroom has twin linked beds and ensuite shower room. Upstairs has a second bedroom with single bed and additional fold-up bed to accommodate 2 people. Separate upstairs bathroom. Well behaved dogs only (not puppies/ incontinent dogs/bitches in season/cats) accepted by prior consent only. £30 deposit required for each dog, max. 2. This will only be refunded after departure and after full inspection of the property proves that no damage was incurred. Regret cottage not available to smokers or children under 13. Seasonal heating charge of £25 pw. (October to April) also required during any other month if it should be needed).
